With over 54 miles of hiking trails to explore (permit required) you can sightsee until your heart desires After your hike, or in place of, visit one of the 5 San Diego wineries in the area. Wine tastings run $10-$15 for 5-6 tastings, or free with their wine club. Best to limit to 1-2 wineries if it's truly a day trip, it's a long curvy road back, so be safe (or heck, just car camp for a night)

This national-led effort encourages people to experience the beautiful natural and cultural resources found in the outdoors with a seasoned guide so that they may be inspired to take advantage of these treasures throughout the year REVIEW: The Healing Power of the Outdoors in 'HIGHLINE'. The Highline Trail is a 100-mile trail through the little-traveled Uinta Mountains in northeast Utah. The Uintas are one of the few east-west ranges in North America. The are home to 13,528' Kings Peak, the high point of Utah. HIGHLINE is a feature-length CA condor courtesy of Steve Mull. A much smaller number of people (10%) see the canyon from the North Rim of the park, which lies just 10 miles (16 km) across the canyon from the South Rim, (as the California condor flies) but is a 220 mile/ 354 km drive by car. The North Rim has a short season. Lodging and food services are open between May 15th and October 15th of each year
